ACI utilizes evidenced based treatment modalities in our effort to provide the highest quality of care possible. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) as a Behavioral Health Inpatient and Outpatient Facility and accredited by The Joint Commission. Our professional staff is dedicated to patient treatment and the recovery process.

ACI understands that addiction treatment extends beyond the scope of helping our patients refrain from drug or alcohol use. We believe in a holistic treatment approach. Past traumas, relationship issues, mental health, and physical health concerns can impact a patient’s life.

Located in New York City, ACI offers a convenient and private setting for patients to undergo a variety of therapies including:

  • Small Group Sessions
  • Family Therapy
  • Art in Recovery
  • CBT Therapy
  • Nutrition Consultation
  • Spirituality Counseling
  • Wellness/Holistic Counseling
  • DBT Group Sessions
  • 12-Step Model
  • Seeking Safety Groups
  • Drama Therapy
  • Psychotherapy
  • Psychotropic Medication Management
  • Couples Counseling
  • Bi-lingual Counseling (Spanish)
  • Activity Groups

We also offer intensive programs, designed to continue the curative process and prepare patients for life once they complete treatment at ACI.

Your Patient and ACI

ACI is staffed with qualified professionals twenty-four hours a day, and each patient is assigned a primary counselor/individual therapist. Group sizes are limited to no more than 10 patients and are coordinated by a group or individual counselor.

For patient admissions, you can direct your patient to fill out a screening form online or contact our intake staff at 212-378-4545 for Outpatient Services or 212-293-3000 for Inpatient Services. For any further information, we welcome calls to one of our intake representatives.

Once your patient is admitted, you will be able to work collaboratively with ACI to ensure your patient’s recovery.

Referring a Patient

"I used to be a successful teacher. I was proud of myself and my achievements. I started using drugs and hit rock bottom. Then a friend took me to ACI. I went to detox and rehab. I am currently enrolled in the outpatient program and am doing great. I love where I am living and I love the staff at ACI. I am so grateful for the fellowship I have with my peers. I look forward to going to groups, seeing my counselors and the friends that I made. My favorite thing is “Jump Start Café” on Friday morning. I am learning how to have fun without using. I finally feel lucky to be alive.”
