ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION
AREBA Casriel Inc. (ACI) is dedicated to the mission of providing quality treatment for chemical
dependency. ACI's goal for its patients is total abstinence from all mood-altering substances and
the restoration of their physical, mental, and spiritual well being. Above all, it is our intention
to do all in our power to assist our patients in finding the road to recovery and to provide
continued support of this on-going process.
ACI is the nation's oldest private substance abuse treatment provider. ACI was founded in 1967 by Daniel
H. Casriel, M.D., the first psychiatrist who recognized the therapeutic community as a viable treatment
strategy for substance abuse. ACI has enjoyed a substantial evolutionary growth since its inception. ACI
offers the most contemporary treatment technologies available today.
ACI is administered by a President who has been with the organization since 1970. He is responsible for the
supervision of the multi disciplinary professional staff. ACI's full complement of medical and clinical personnel
include: physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, registered nurses, certified social workers, therapists,
certified addiction specialists, C.A.C.'s and counselors. ACI utilizes a holistic wellness approach which integrates
the most current treatment models with twelve-step program philosophy.
ACI offers a full range of chemical dependency treatment programs utilizing both inpatient and outpatient treatment
modalities. The inpatient programs include both medically supervised and drug-free treatment approaches. A variable
length of stay is the norm for all ACI programs. The actual length of stay is determined only after the initial
diagnostic assessment is completed and in conjunction with the patient and payor's representative. Case conferences are held
weekly and include treatment plan reviews. All compliant patients are discharged to an appropriate aftercare program.
The unique and clinically sound aspect of ACI is that our facility provides the appropriate level of treatment at any
point in the patient's disease process.
This means ACI can meet patients "where they are" and move each patient along the treatment continuum as defined by his
or her own individual progress.
