If you answer yes to any one of the questions, you are probably in need of substance abuse treatment Q:WHAT IF A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND NEEDS TREATMENT FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE?
The person who is abusing substances must be willing to enter treatment. All of ACI's services are voluntary.
The decision to seek help is theirs. However, there are ways a loved one can help
Q: HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT USUALLY TAKE?
The duration of treatment is highly dependent on the patient's individual
circumstances. It is best to discuss this with your treatment team once your situation
has been properly assessed.
Q: DO I HAVE TO START TREATMENT WITH DETOXIFICATION?
No. An individual enters treatment at the level of care he /she is assessed to
best benefit from.
Q:WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO TREATMENT?
You will always need some form of identification and insurance information whether
it is for inpatient or outpatient services. If you are being admitted to our inpatient facility,
also bring all the medication you are currently taking, a change of comfortable
clothes for a week, and no more than twenty dollars. ACI will provide your necessities
while you are with us.
Q: HOW IS TREATMENT USUALLY PAID FOR?
ACI accepts most private insurance and Medicaid.

Q: WHAT DOES TREATMENT CONSIST OF AT ACI?
ACI provides a safe environment where there is no access to drugs or alcohol.
The recovering individual is immersed in a culture of honesty and education
concerning the consequences of alcohol and/or drug use on the body.
The body begins to heal the moment the person stops using the substance under a doctor's care.
The individual explores the effects of substance abuse on relationships with loved
ones and the community when they are ready to do that.
Q:WHAT TREATMENT PHILOSOPY DO YOU APPLY?
ACI employs the medical model of addiction, which regards chemical dependency
as a medically treatable condition. We are open to any process that will effect
positive change in the substance abuser's life and seek every opportunity to
introduce creative and innovative modalities into our treatment programs provided
they are proven effective.
Q:WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS OF YOUR STAFF?
ACI employs physicians who are psychiatrists and internists trained in the field of addiction.
